I wrote an article last month in our dating advice for women section on the best way for women to meet men. I explained that the first step in the process is to work out exactly what sort of person you want to meet.
It occurred to me that it’s something guys would do well to think about to. You see, there is no best way to meet women; there’s only the best way to meet women you like.
Have a think now about the kind of woman you’d like to meet:
1. What does she look like?
2. What education has she had?
3. What sort of hobbies does she have?
4. What are her values?
5. Does she smoke? Does she drink?
6. What sort of job does she have?
7. What kind of clothes does she wear?
8. What sort of music does she listen to?
Now have a think about where this sort of woman might hang out:
1. Where does she go out to drink?
2. Where does she go out to eat?
3. Where does she go on holiday?
4. What does she do at the weekend?
5. Where does she go shopping?
Where Do You Go to Meet Women?
Now have a final think about where you currently look to meet women. There’s a very good chance that you’re looking for her in precisely the wrong place.
If you like party girls who drink and smoke and like cheesy music, then by all means go out to clubs and chat to girls there. But if you’d like to meet a woman who writes poetry and paints landscapes in her attic, you need to have a think about where you’re going to find her.
I used to go out to clubs all the time, only to get frustrated that I wasn’t meeting the kind of girls I was drawn to. Now I love meeting women in bookshops, parks and Whole Foods supermarkets – because I love women who read, enjoy the outdoors and buy overpriced organic food.
It’s always good to mix things up anyway. So make a promise to yourself that this week you’ll approach one girl in an environment where you normally wouldn’t. If you normally chat up girls in bars, approach a girl in the day. If you normally meet women during the day, brave the bar and club scene and get chatting to a girl there.
