The ultimate goal of going on the dance floor is to get the girl OFF the dance floor. Too many guys who become interested in dance floor game seem to forget this! Your task is to get her somewhere that you can have a quiet conversation. This will allow you to build the rapport and attraction which is impossible amid the chaos of the dance floor. To get her to come off the dance floor remember two things
Use Humour
I have talked before about the need for humour when dancing with girls. It is ideal if you can make her laugh. Silly dance moves may work, or you can make comments out of the array of material around you:
Hey that guy over there has some pretty special moves going on- what do you think his style is called… Hey, we go pretty well together! You bring the flair and I bring the stability… Wow, good moves. Where did you learn to move like that?
To add a fun edge to dancing, there are some fun games you can play on the dance floor which will help you build rapport. A good game is to turns while one of you mimics another person on the dance floor- the other has to guess who it is.
Another game we teach at The London School of Attraction is to copy each another. One of you has to dance and the other has to follow. This can work well in a group of four or five so bring in people nearby. Dancing the limbo is another good game and it can integrate a whole group. The benefit of bringing in a whole group of people is that it gives you the opportunity to demonstrate that you’re comfortable in a social setting.
Lead Her
When you have built some good rapport by dancing, a little talking and playing some games you must take the initiative to get the girl off the dance floor: “Right this has been fun- let’s go get a drink to cool down”. Then simply take her hand and lead her. Dance floor game can be a law unto itself but if you lead, have fun, take the initiative and try to tale the girl somewhere to talk you will get great results.
